Detroit, MICH. (Feb. 26, 2024) – The team at Suttons Bay-based estate winery Shady Lane Cellars is taking its sustainable, estate-grown, award-winning wines on the road next month.
A brand new series featuring three distinct Shady Lane Cellars wine experiences, beginning March 5 in Detroit.
“It’s just an honor to be invited to share our wines with these three exciting locations,” said Kasey Wierzba, executive winemaker and general manager at Shady Lane Cellars.
Events are set for:
- 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at Takoi2520 Michigan Ave. in Corktown, Detroit.
- 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at The Royce, 76 W. Adams Ave., Ste. A in Detroit.
- Thursday, March 7, 2024 at Coeurin 330 W. Nine Mile Road in Ferndale.
Each location was handpicked for its distinctive atmosphere and dedication to culinary creativity. Guests will be treated to a one-of-kind wine tasting experience and chance to learn more about Shady Lane Cellars straight from the source.
Wierzba will personally host all three events.
“I’m really excited about these three nights,” she said. “There is so much electricity in this area – especially in the food, beverage and hospitality scene.”
It all begins with the vibrant energy and bold flavors of Takoi March 5 in Detroit’s historic Corktown neighborhood. The following night, The Royce will host a wine tasting event showcasing sustainably-made Shady Lane Cellars wines from 6-7:30 p.m.
Finally, Ferndale-based Coeur will host a French-inspired five-course menu March 7. From a Hiramasa Crudo paired with 2022 Pinot Gris to a Cod dish paired with Gewurztraminer or Lamb and Cherry Chimichurri with a choice of Cabernet Franc or Blaufrankisch, the meal is sure to delight attendees.
