Sonoma, CA February 22, 2024 – Anaba Wines, a premium producer of Rhône and Burgundy varietal wines from Sonoma County, is pleased to announce the appointment of Brian Mascia as Winery Production Manager and Michelle Hogan as Marketing Director.

Mascia brings 14 years of experience in the Sonoma and Napa wine industry, including a recent stint as associate winemaker at Luna Vineyards. His work with international harvests, as well as internships with notable producers including Twomey Cellars, Domaine Carneros, and Screaming Eagle position him well to oversee the production of both Anaba’s wines and custom crush clients’ needs. “We are excited to have Brian join the team and work alongside Winemaker Katy Wilson as we continue to produce remarkable wines for our customers,” said Proprietor John Sweazey.

Hogan is returning to Anaba Wines as marketing director after four years leading the marketing and communications efforts at Bartholomew Estate. She served as marketing director for Anaba from 2011 to 2019 helping to build the brand. With twenty years experience in Sonoma County’s wine industry, she is well connected within the community and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the role. “I am thrilled to return to Anaba, reunited with an amazing team and exceptional wines,” said Hogan.  “We are delighted to have Michelle back home with us and to have her continue to share the Anaba story, which she does with such enthusiasm,” added Sweazey.

About Anaba Wines

Founded in 2006, Anaba Wines embodies proprietor John Sweazey’s commitment to high-end Burgundian and Rhône varietal wines, sustainability, and world-class hospitality offered in an unpretentious setting. Winemaker Katy Wilson oversees production of Anaba’s diverse portfolio of cool-climate wines, sourced from a combination of estate and benchmark family-owned grape growers located in a variety of Sonoma’s numerous AVA’s. Since its founding, Anaba has opened a state-of-the-art production facility, and in October 2019, opened its Vintners House to the public. Located in the Carneros region of Sonoma, the Vintners House is a stunning physical embodiment of Anaba’s inviting philosophy and commitment to community and hospitality. With a bocce ball court, pickleball court, wood-fire pizzas and great wines, Anaba Wines stands out as one of the most fun and lively tasting rooms. Every aspect of the winery is highly sustainable. In 2009, Anaba Wines became the first Northern California winery to utilize wind power, via a 45-foot Skystream 3.7 wind turbine that provides clean energy for operations on the estate. Today, Anaba uses 100% renewable energy from its solar panels and wind turbine, generating enough for the winery’s electrical needs.
