Carlton, Oregon (February 7, 2024) — Members of the Yamhill-Carlton winegrowing region announce the return of their Spring Tasting, taking place at Abbey Road Farm on Saturday, April 20, 2024. Tickets are available for purchase now on Yamhill-Carlton’s website.

Over forty wineries from the Yamhill-Carlton AVA will pour wines at this public event, offering a rare opportunity to taste wines from many members of the appellation in one day. Complimenting the wine tasting will be catered food from Caballero’s Catering.

Participating wineries include Anne Amie Vineyards, Belle Pente Vineyard and Winery, Elk Cove Vineyards, Ken Wright Cellars, and Willakenzie Estate (a full list of participating wineries can be found below). Amaterra Wines, Abbott Claim, Division Winemaking Company, and Sokol Blosser Winery are all participating for the first time, and Atticus Wine hasn’t poured at the Spring Tasting since 2019. Yamhill-Carlton is known for producing world-class Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, and wineries will be pouring other varieties as well, including Riesling, Pinot Gris, Müller-Thurgau, Pinot Noir Blanc, and many styles of sparkling wines, showcasing the wealth of varieties in the region.

In addition to wine, guests at the event will savor seasonal fare by Caballero’s Catering, led by chefs Erick Caballero and Alexander Graham. Erick Caballero worked in restaurants around the Northwest, including the Joel Palmer House and the Barlow Room, before starting his own catering business, where his menus often highlight his Latin heritage and his training in French, traditional cooking techniques. Featured bites at the tasting include Oregon mushroom tarts with shaved truffles, local lamb empanadas, Wagyu steak with ponzu and wasabi, asparagus tarts with microgreens, and more.

Tickets are available at Regular and VIP Admission levels: Early entry VIP sessions (10 am and 2 pm) provide first access to wines, a special library pour from wineries unavailable the rest of the day, as well as a complimentary Riedel Pinot Noir glass in addition to all food and drink. Regular Admission (11 am and 3 pm) provides access to the walk-around tasting and generous bites from Caballero’s Catering.

Yamhill-Carlton AVA is donating a number of tickets to students in wine studies at local colleges as an opportunity to broaden their knowledge of the region.

Northwest Wine Shuttle offers concierge services for guests visiting the region for the tasting, including setting up tasting appointments and meal reservations, and transport to and from the tasting to their hotels.

VIP sessions ($125 per person) are offered from 10 am to 1 pm, and from 2 pm to 5 pm. Regular Admission ($75) sessions are offered from 11 am to 1 pm, and from 3 pm to 5 pm. Tickets are limited and expected to go quickly.

Abbey Road Farm is located at 10280 NE Oak Springs Farm Road, Carlton, OR 97111. Ample parking is available onsite. VIP ticket holders enjoy priority parking next to the winery and regular ticket holders need only take a short walk from the main lot.
