Second Annual Malbec Event Will Bring Together 20+ Wineries Pouring Oregon Malbecs to Benefit Wine Industry Nonprofit, Our Legacy Harvested
PORTLAND, OR. – (Feb. 7, 2024) – The first Malbec event in the country, Malbec in the City, is returning for its second annual event in celebration of World Malbec Day from 12-5pm on Saturday, April 20. The tasting event will bring together 20+ local wineries pouring Oregon Malbecs to benefit local wine industry nonprofit, Our Legacy Harvested, with exciting tango performances, live music, food pairings, and more throughout the event.
Early bird tickets for the event are now available for $65 per person through March 15th, and $80 per person after. Tickets include one keepsake Malbec in the City wine glass, as well as wine tasting and small bites from 1- 5pm. VIP tickets are available for $100 per person, offering an opportunity to skip the line with early entrance, a private seating area, one complimentary Malbec in the City wine glass for tasting, as well as wine tasting and small bites from 12 – 5pm.
Malbec in the City benefits Our Legacy Harvested (OLH), an Oregon nonprofit dedicated to bringing diversity to the wine industry, working with BIPOC individuals from across the country to advance knowledge and expertise within the industry. The long-term goal of OLH is to build a permanent campus used to host pop-up events, fundraisers, dinners, educational seminars, and to foster the growing and evolving BIPOC wine community through partnerships with tasting rooms, cellars and vineyards.

About Malbec in the City!
Malbec in the City is the first Malbec event in the United States, bringing together Malbec producers with grapes grown in Oregon. The inaugural annual event was held in 2023 at Castaway Portland and benefited Our Legacy Harvested, a nonprofit empowering the BIPOC community in the wine industry.
