CALISTOGA, Calif. – (January 29, 2024) – Kenefick Ranch, a family owned and operated vineyard located in Napa Valley’s northernmost American Viticultural Area (AVA) – Calistoga, today announced its newest release, the 2016 Founder’s Reserve. Adding to the vineyard’s esteemed Kenefick label, the 2016 vintage features notes of tart cherry and baker’s chocolate with aromatics of fresh berries and custard with graham cracker crust. Retailing for $150 per bottle, this distinctive red blend embodies the fine craftsmanship for which Kenefick Ranch is known.

The Founder’s Reserve is a classical blend of all five Bordeaux varietals from the Kenefick estate; the wine is 28% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Petit Verdot, 21% Merlot, 15% Malbec and 12% Cabernet Franc. The new release has already earned strong reviews from critics and experts alike, receiving a 93 rating from James Suckling and 93+ points from Jeb Dunnuck. The Founder’s Reserve is a culmination of how the diverse profiles of the Kenefick estate can come together and create a stunning wine.
