Bryant Estate Creatively Expands, Launches Bryant Imports

Cult Napa Winery Opens Import Division to Elevate Consumer Wine Access

Bettina Bryant

November 16th – (Napa – CALIF.) — Bettina Bryant, Proprietor and President of Bryant Estate, the producer of highly-sought, limited-production Bryant Family Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignonhas founded Bryant Imports, a global wine import company dedicated to discovering and sharing exceptional, under-the-radar wine and other products from around the world.

In recent years, Bryant Estate has added several lauded wines to their portfolio, including the BETTINA Proprietary Red Wine Blend, DB4, and a new Chardonnay from Sonoma Mountain. But for rare luxury brands like Bryant Estate, supply and demand is a challenge, rendering allocations of wine for purchase extremely limited.

In developing Bryant Imports, Bettina Bryant was inspired to create a different solution for those seeking exceptional wines. The new subsidiary, the first boutique, luxury wine import company opened by a premium Napa Valley wine producer, builds upon Bryant Estate’s deeply ingrained mission of excellence and environmental stewardship, increasing it to a vast, global scale. Rather than align with known luxury brands, Bryant set out to find exceptional lesser-known vintners who hold similar values regarding sustainability.

“Our mission, clear and bold, is to discover and introduce some of the world’s exquisite wines whose quality matches our own,” said Bryant, who travels extensively in search of gems from lesser-known regions. “Bryant Imports is not just about offering a taste of exceptional wine; every bottle tells a tale of place, tradition, and creation, expressing the story of the soil and history of its homeland through artistry and innovation.  Also important is that the vintners are in right reciprocity with the land and are driven to respect local tradition and culture.

The first wines that Bryant Imports is introducing to its exclusive wine list and the US market, are produced by Ultima Pietra, an emerging Italian winery whose treasure trove of wines resonate with rare elegance and refined character.

“We are so excited to work with Proprietor Margot Bowen, whose journey began in 2015, when she transformed a wheat field into biodynamic vineyards and restored a century-old olive grove, aiming to produce organic wines reflecting Tuscan terroir with respect for the land and history. Ultima Pietra lets the grapes and land speak for themselves, capturing Tuscany’s diverse landscapes,” says Bryant.  “Our commitment at Bryant Imports is to ensure that when one of the wines in our portfolio is uncorked, an experience of history, nature, and craftsmanship will resonate with every sip.”

Perched above the fog line at a 900-foot elevation, the steepness, undulating shape, light and ventilation make this one of the most dynamic sites in winemaking.
