Head High Wines Pledges 100% of Online Sales to Maui Relief Efforts, Already Raising over $40,000 in Funds

Local restaurants also join hands in wildfire recovery

SONOMA, Calif. (August 14th, 2023)— In the wake of the devastating wildfires that swept through multiple communities on Maui, Head High Wines has taken immediate action towards aiding recovery efforts. The Sonoma based winery has announced that it will be donating 100% of its online wine sales for the month of August to the Hawai’i Community Foundation: Maui Strong, a non-profit organization committed to supporting affected communities and rebuilding in the aftermath of what has been deemed the deadliest wildfire in U.S. history.

The wildfires left a trail of destruction, impacting families, businesses, and the environment. The impact is still being understood as we watch closely as news continues to be reported. Head High has deep connections to the Hawaiian islands, with proprietor Bill Price, growing up on Oahu and currently residing there. Bill and his wife Eva, who were married on Maui, have a passion for many things- surfing, wine, and most importantly helping others. They’ve always jumped at opportunities to give back. Philanthropy is a core part of all of their organizations, raising over $250,000 through pandemic efforts in 2020 and over $100,000 for Sonoma Strong wildfire funds in 2017.  The Maui relief efforts are no different, as they have chosen to make a significant contribution to the recovery process by directing all proceeds from their wine sales to the Maui Strong Fund, they aim to provide much-needed resources for those who have been affected by this natural disaster. Support has already been overwhelming, raising over $42,000 in just four days.

The commitment doesn’t stop there. Recognizing the importance of collaborative efforts in times of crisis, Head High is also partnering with local restaurants to amplify their impact. Red Grape, Hopmonk Sonoma, and Enoteca Wine Bar will be featuring Head High Wine’s on their menus, with 100% of proceeds also contributing to wildfire recovery initiatives. This dual initiative not only supports local businesses but also channels support directly to the heart of the community.

“We believe that together, we make a more significant difference. Our commitment to donating 100% of wine sales to the Hawai’i Community Foundation reflects our dedication to helping rebuild lives and communities as we are all too familiar with the impact of these natural disasters,” said Bill Price, proprietor of Price Family Vineyards and Estates. “Head High has strong ties to Hawai’i and we’re determined to play our part in restoring its strength and vitality.”
