(September 1, 2022; Napa, Calif.)— The Mill Keeper Founder Tom Gamble is pleased to announce that his newly launched multi-vintage wine brand will be the presenting sponsor of the Napa Valley State Parks Association (NVSPA) annual fundraising Harvest Dinner at Bale Grist Mill State Historic Park. Taking place Sept. 24 at 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., the Harvest Dinner will feature a multi-course farm-to-table meal prepared by Elaine Bell Catering at the foot of Bale Grist Mill’s great waterwheel. The Mill Keeper will be the exclusive wine brand poured at the event. Highlights of the evening include a live auction and milling demonstrations. With just 260 seats available, single dinner tickets are selling fast and may be purchased here for $250. All proceeds will go to NVSPA for park improvements in all three Napa Valley State Parks, trail and ground maintenance, fire prevention, technology improvements, increasing access for community members and supporting numerous outdoor education programs.

“We are so thrilled to be partnering with The Mill Keeper for this event,” said NVSPA President Cathie Bennett Warner. “Alongside The Mill Keeper, we are working to protect and preserve the wild and historic spaces of the Napa Valley. With Tom Gamble and his Mill Keeper family, we are looking forward to raising a glass to one of California’s great historic state parks, which has been a gathering place for community for over 175 years —a real Napa County treasure.”

In anticipation of the evening’s celebration, an online auction will kick off on Sept. 1 and run until 9 p.m. on Sept. 25. The auction features over 100 exciting lots donated by wineries and organizations across the Napa Valley. The Mill Keeper is also donating wine for the “The Mill Keeper Wine & Menegon Catering Lobster Feed Dinner for Twelve” lot. To see the full list of auction lots and to place bids visit: bwc.io/napa

In addition to its presenting sponsorship of the Bale Grist Mill Harvest Dinner, The Mill Keeper is dedicated to helping promote the NVSPA through continued sponsored events, donations and co-marketing efforts.

“The Bale Grist Mill served as part of the early inspiration for The Mill Keeper brand,” says Gamble. “The mill was established in 1846 by Dr. Edwin Bale, who’s untimely death left his widow, María Ignacia Soberanes Bale, as the new mill keeper. She successfully expanded and operated the mill and became a pillar of the early Napa Valley farming community. Inspired by the legacy of Soberanes Bale, The Mill Keeper Chardonnay MV and The Mill Keeper Cabernet Sauvignon labels feature artwork that commemorates the female artisans who crafted some of the earliest wine in the Napa Valley.”

About The Mill Keeper

The Mill Keeper was founded in 2021 by Tom Gamble—a farmer whose family legacy in the Napa Valley dates back more than a century–and is inspired by the history of Napa’s early wine industry pioneers of the mid 1800’s. The Mill Keeper brand embodies these pioneers’ enduring spirit and the Gamble Family’s desire to bring the virtues of their dedication and the resulting agrarian bounty of Napa to consumers in the United States and globally. Gamble uses his knowledge of the Napa Valley to source responsibly grown fruit from smaller, overlooked sites, with the goal of preserving the Napa Valley’s agricultural space, to create high quality, environmentally conscious wine at a value. The Mill Keeper’s foremost focus is to produce exceptional wine from vineyards with sustainable land management programs. Taking inspiration from Champagne, where vintages are blended to create consistently beautiful bottlings, The Mill Keeper produces multi-vintage Bordeaux wines at a price range of $28-$80.
