August 30th – Preparations for ProWein, International Trade Fair for Wines and Spirits, to be held from March 19 – 21, 2023 at the fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, Germany, are in full swing. The exhibitor registration deadline has passed and the space allocation talks with the individual vintners, joint participations, importers and exporters as well as spirits suppliers are under way. Six months before the start of the event it is already apparent that ProWein 2023 will continue the success story of the last 28 years and once again emphasize its leading role as the world’s largest and most important trade show for wines and spirits. “The international product spectrum at ProWein is unique and offers professionals from food retail, specialist retail, gastronomy and catering the unique opportunity to gather comprehensive information, scout and order new trends. The unique selling point of ProWein is above all the extremely high level of internationality on the supply and demand side,” stated Michael Degen, Executive Director of Messe Düsseldorf. More than 6,000 exhibitors from over 60 countries will showcase their ranges in 13 halls. The exhibitor data base will be online as of October 19 at www.prowein.com.
Who will be at the ProWein 2023?
Almost all wine-growing nations will be represented at ProWein 2023. Australia, New Zealand and South Africa – not present at this year’s trade fair due to Covid – will again present themselves with joint pavilions. Also present will be other overseas nations or regions such as Argentina, Chile, China and the U.S. with California. The European wine nations – whether represented by growing regions, individual vintners or vintner cooperatives – will also take part in ProWein: Germany, France, Greece, Italy, Austria, Portugal, Switzerland, Spain, Hungary, and many other East European nations such as Georgia, to name just the top ten.
ProWein: sets the scene for brands
With its professional special-interest trade show concept and high international reach on the visitor side, ProWein is the ideal platform for brands, producers, major wine dealers and importers from all over the world such as Allegrini Estates, Constellation Brands, Enobis, Fratelli Martini, Henkell Freixenet, Les Grands Chais de France, Mack & Schühle, Penfolds, Semper idem Underberg, Schlumberger, Familia Torres and the VDP.
ProWein & ProWein World: A strong network
ProWein 2022 has made an impressive comeback after the forced break due to the pandemic. The face-to-face format with the personal exchange, live tastings and a comprehensive expert ancillary program is hard to beat. This is also confirmed by the key data of ProWein 2022: With 5,724 exhibitors from 62 countries and more than 38,000 trade visitors from 145 countries, it was the central industry event and THE international business platform in 2022. ProWein started in 1994 with 321 exhibitors from eight countries and reached its preliminary peak at its 25th anniversary in 2019 with 6,900 exhibitors from 64 countries and 61,560 visitors from 143 nations.
Trend Show “same but different”
The Trend Show “same but different” is a highlight in the center of ProWein – and this will not change in 2023. In Hall 7.0, more than 120 exhibitors will present a highly topical and wide-ranging selection of craft spirits, craft beer and cider. The secret of success and trademark of “same but different” are the special spirit and the unique ambience that characterize the events in the exhibition hall. ProWein is still looking for trendy products – companies can apply at same-but-different
