Meadowood Napa Valley Receives Forbes Five-Star Awards for Both Hotel and Spa

(April 27, 2022; St. Helena, Calif.)—Meadowood Napa Valley is pleased to announce that the property has been honored with Five-Star awards for both the Hotel and Spa from Forbes Travel Guide (“FTG”), the world’s only independent global rating system for luxury hotels, restaurants and spas.

This news arrives at a momentous time for Meadowood, which closed for several months following the Glass Fire of 2020. The estate reopened on August 1, 2021, offering guests an even more intimate immersion into the Napa Valley lifestyle through the new Wine Center, tailored host programs, The Spa at Meadowood, recreational facilities, and its inviting, understated and elegant suites and rooms.

“These awards truly substantiate our ongoing vision and our entire team’s determination to continue to provide world-class hospitality, despite the challenges we’ve addressed over the last two years,” says Amanda Harlan Maltas, Director of Communications.

Forbes Travel Guide is the world-renowned authority in genuine Five-Star service. As the global arbiter of luxury travel, Forbes Travel Guide’s team of expert inspectors anonymously evaluated hundreds of the most luxurious properties in more than 70 countries around the world to establish the 2022 ratings. Rigorous standards focus on graciousness, thoughtfulness and a sense of personalized service, placing special emphasis on the importance of how guests feel and what they will remember most about their time spent on the property. About The Spa at Meadowood

In 2015, the Meadowood property ushered in a new era of excellence with the addition of a $60 million renovation that included a new spa built from the ground up. Designed by decorated architects Backen, Gillam & Kroeger, with Leslie Hemmings overseeing its interior spaces, The Meadowood Spa delivers as a serene, all-suite oasis created with tranquility in mind. The Treehouse Suite, with its hand-hammered copper tub and oversized fireplace, offers a crowning touch. Partly exposed to the elements, but still concealed for an ultra-private experience, guests may choose from a menu of signature baths—milk, mustard, or sea salt—amid the timbered space. The compound also includes a meditation garden, a seasonal menu of spa cuisine, and The Spa Boutique, which offers everything from hand-crafted objets d’art and cashmere throws to cosmetic and spa products to complement treatments experienced in the Meadowood Spa. The Spa is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Services are provided to guests 16 years or older.  https://meadowood.com/spa/

About The Wine Center

Wine is embedded in Meadowood’s DNA. From the fabled to the fledgling, Meadowood is a gathering place for Napa Valley’s wine community. Local vintners, winemakers, and grape growers are often invited to the estate to lead guided and blind tastings, share their love and passion for all things wine, or just convene over one of their award-winning vintages. The Wine Center at Meadowood presents a unique opportunity for visitors and club members to immerse themselves in the culture of wine—and to discover the nuances of wine and winemaking in Napa Valley and beyond—in a convivial and approachable environment. During thoughtfully curated tastings, guests have access to an insider’s take on connoisseurship while enjoying fine wines.
