Disruptor premium single-serve wine brand achieves 220% growth via expanded wholesale and direct to consumer distribution, new varietal offerings and strengthened sales team.

Denver, CO, February 7, 2022 – For the second consecutive year, Wander + Ivy, the disruptor wine brand specializing in elevated single-serve wines from award-winning, family-owned vineyards around the world, achieved triple-digit growth. Expanded distribution, strategic hiring and thoughtful investment have led Wander + Ivy to 220% growth year over year, positioning the producer for a 2022 of continued success.

While the overall U.S. wine market is estimated to have fallen 0.5% in 2021 according to Impact Databank, Wander + Ivy’s sales have continued to gain momentum, driving 350% production growth year over year in 2021.

Founder and CEO Dana Spaulding explains, “I created Wander + Ivy to solve a problem encountered by wine lovers like myself regularly – I wanted to enjoy a glass of wine without worrying about the rest of the bottle going to waste or sacrificing on quality. Wander + Ivy elevates the single-serve experience, delivering amazing wine made with sustainably grown organic grapes in a convenient and premium package. I’m thrilled we’re able to reach a wider audience and continue to give back as we grow.”

In 2021, the Wander + Ivy team tripled the brand’s wholesale distribution footprint with the addition of 7 states (Alaska, Arizona, Maine, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, Oregon and Washington) for a total of 10 including California, Colorado and Texas. In October, the team also recruited industry veteran Geoffrey Hess to lead expansion as Wander + Ivy’s National Sales Director. Geoff has already created immense value for Wander + Ivy, leveraging deep industry experience and relationships to secure key placements in on-premise, retail and hospitality.

Having closed their largest ever, 7-figure round of investment in July 2021, Dana and the Wander + Ivy team continued to grow and scale the business. Online orders to the 43 states Wander + Ivy now ships resulted in an exceptional Q4, with DTC sales tripling those of 2020. When consumer demand called for an additional varietal, the team responded with the launch of a new varietal offering, Italian White, a 100% Pinot Bianco made with organic grapes, which debuted just in time for the busy holiday season.

A certified woman- and disability-owned business, Wander + Ivy continues to deliver on its core values and commitment to give back, donating 1-percent of sales to charitable organizations feeding those in need. In 2021, Wander + Ivy contributions helped provide more than 100,000 healthy meals to those in need via donations to Feeding America, the country’s largest food rescue organization, as well as Colorado Feeding Kids.

Celebrating Wander + Ivy’s biggest year yet, Dana also saw her family grow, welcoming their newest addition, James Bowdoin “JB” Spaulding, in early January 2022. A joyous start to another year of success? We’ll toast to that!
