December 16th – This year’s Sommelier Challenge Wine Competition held in San Diego, California awarded Gold medals to six out of six wines entered by Reustle – Prayer Rock Vineyards. Leading the way with a 93 point rating was the 2019 Syrah – followed by the 2019 Malbec (92 points), 2019 Syrah Reserve (92 points), 2018 Pinot Noir Reserve (91 points), 2018 Tempranillo Reserve (91 points), 2019 Gruner Veltliner (90 points).
When receiving the news, Owner/Winemaker, Stephen M. Reustle commented, “The Challenge judging panel is among the toughest. It is comprised of highly respected Sommeliers who really know their wines. They keenly look for wines of superior quality and varietal correctness ” He continued, “To have all six of our wines win Gold medals was unbelievable.”
