A successful live conference and trade show caters to all sectors of the wine trade

Healdsburg, CA, December 6th, 2021 – After a two year hiatus, Wine Industry Network (WIN) hosted the 9th Annual North Coast Wine Industry Expo (WIN Expo) at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds on December 2. The trade show and conference was the largest in-person gathering of wine industry professionals since March of 2020.

The WIN Expo increased its focus on educational content, providing 15 informational sessions focussed on Strategy & Leadership, Production & Winemaking, Sales & Marketing and Viticulture & Grapegrowing, alongside the trade show which featured nearly 300 exhibitors showcasing the latest products and services available.

Strategy & Leadership kicked off the day with detailed insight about the State of the North Coast Wine Industry, as Brian Clements of Turrentine Brokerage spoke to current trends in the bulk wine market; Dale Stratton from Azur Associates dove into the latest findings from Wine Market Council; and Danny Brager of Brager Beverage Alcohol Consulting revealed his analysis on consumer market data. Production & Winemaking hosted four separate sessions, three of which included tasting experiences, showcasing research results in the glass. Sales & Marketing centered its focus on how to implement the latest technology into a wine business, including creating subscription models, marketing toward ‘digital natives,’ and the ‘must-haves’ in mobile e-commerce. Viticulture & Grapegrowing covered some of the hottest topics in the vineyard—artificial intelligence, drought, and regenerative agriculture.

“We’re very proud to take a leadership role in reuniting our industry colleagues for the first time in nearly two years,” stated George Christie, President and CEO of Wine Industry Network. “It was as much a reunion as it was a conference and trade show. Despite the great advances in technology that allowed for virtual events during lockdown, there really is no substitution for being together. You could feel the positive energy all day.”

The 10th Annual WIN Expo will return on December 1st, 2022. For more information go to www.wineindustryexpo.com.
