30th November – Vinduino introduces Irrigation-As-A-Service (IAAS), designed for vineyard and orchard management  companies. IAAS is the latest feature in the eVineyard cloud application. Farm management companies can now offer 24/7 remote monitoring and irrigation control to all their customers. With Vinduino, vineyard management companies can enter the digital age with confidence, improving  their customers crop results, while reducing resources and labor.

“During heatwaves, pulsed irrigation cycles can be a crop saver”, says Matic Serc, co-founder of  Vinduino. “You need automated irrigaton control for that, manual irrigation does not work here. With  Irrigation-As-A-Service Farm companies can offer additional value and better service levels”.

Vinduino also announces the 5th generation wireless soil moisture sensor system, which can operate on a single battery for typically up to 10 years. The new Vinduino sensor station works seamlessly with  other Vinduino products, such as the Vinduino wireless irrigation controller, and will be available to  select customers in Q1 2022.

“The new sensor stations has superior power management features allowing maintenance free operation in the field for as long as the shelf life of the battery.”, says Reinier van der Lee, CEO and founder of  Vinduino. “No solar power is needed, the system even works in dense canopy orchards.”
