Tooth & Nail Wine Company Appoints Jim Blumling Chief Operating Officer

July 7th – Paso Robles, CA – Jim Blumling has been appointed Chief Operating Officer of Tooth & Nail Wine Company, located along the popular Hwy. 46 West corridor in Paso Robles Wine Country. Blumling joins Tooth & Nail Wine Co. with a strong pedigree built on a track record of strong, consistent successes. Previously, Blumling was Vice President of Operations at Copper Cane Wines and Provisions, where his people-centric, hands-on approach, propelled by full tilt energy, resulted in making a meaningful difference in the winery’s performance from bottling and waxing operations, supply chain, viticulture, grower relations, winemaking, compliance, legal, information technology, administration, facility management to building out a new tasting room and a new restaurant.

Blumling also enjoyed a 13-year career at Safeway/ Albertsons where, for nearly eight years, he was the National Group Vice President and Business Unit General Manager for Wine, Beer, & Spirits. His deep understanding of sales, marketing, and logistics in the consumer-packaged-goods space, comes from successful stints held at Pepsi Cola and Kellogg’s.

“I am very enthused to make the move to Paso Robles to join the Tooth & Nail team and collaborate with Rob Murray (Owner) and Jeremy Leffert (Director of Winemaking),” Blumling says.  “Tooth & Nail checks all the boxes, from their commitment to sustainability, to their impassioned winemaking prowess, exceptional tasting room, and online wine presence.  I’m looking forward to driving our on-premise and retail sales with our wholesaler partners along with growing our direct-to-consumer sales.”

“Having Jim join the Tooth & Nail Wine Co. is the next step in our evolution as a dynamic company with an uncommon collection of wine brands. Jim possesses the kind of grit that we love, and that drives everything we do at Tooth & Nail. His experience, energy and creativity are the perfect fit for our company culture, and together we will accomplish great things.”

Established in 2010 by farmer and visionary, Rob Murray, Tooth & Nail Wine Co. rose quickly in popularity among a broad spectrum of wine drinkers for their various adventurous wine brands, including The Squad, Audubon, Amor Fati, Stasis and the upcoming Destinata brand, Murray’s first foray into the realm of natural wines. Murray, known for his rebellious choices and progressive, creative branding, was the first vintner in the nation to employ augmented reality technology in wine labelling, thereby injecting a sense of movement and play onto a stationary bottle of wine. This inventive technology, in tandem with Murray’s incorporation of over 400 types of crypto currency as forms of payment, resulted in Tooth & Nail Wine Co. being recognized as one of the nation’s more advanced and radical wine companies.

Tooth & Nail earmarks a percentage of profits for “1 % for the Planet”, joining companies like Patagonia, Boxed Water and Honest Tea, in giving to vetted environmental non-profit organizations. To learn more about Tooth & Nail Wine Co., please visit www.toothandnail.com.com
