June 2021: the first digital and international edition of the Festival
May 10th – After travelling all around Italy and visiting the most important international cities, from London to New York, Munich to Tokyo, Zurich to Edinburgh, the Franciacorta Festival is going digital and global this year, too, for the first time.
A series of events will be taking place in June on a range of digital and social media platforms designed to reach sector experts and wine lovers in every corner of the world with information and interesting facts about Franciacorta.
These will start on 7 June with a seminar in English giving in-depth information on Franciacorta Satèn, Rosé and Dosaggio Zero for wine sector specialists. From 9 June onwards, every Monday and Wednesday, May Matta-Aliah, US Franciacorta ambassador will be interviewing a range of Franciacorta producers live on Facebook and asking them about its history, biodiversity and the various types of Franciacorta.
For Italian-speaking wine lovers, every Tuesday in the month will feature live Instagram broadcasts with Nicola Bonera, previous winner of the Best Sommelier in Italy title, in dialogue with important food experts – Chiara Maci, Gnambox and Lorenzo Biagiarelli – to find the best food matchings and on 17 June he will speak about history with a live Instagram presentation of the book Le origini del Franciacorta nel Rinascimento italiano on Franciacorta’s origins in the Italian Renaissance.
There will also be events devoted to the American, German and Japanese markets together with local sommeliers and Franciacorta ambassadors.
The digital edition of the Franciacorta Festival will be a one-of-a-kind opportunity to find out more about the style, quality and identity of this area’s wines from the comfort of your own home in a program of events accessible all around the world.
