The leaders in wine education are celebrating this milestone with the return of in-person courses, a new location in Downtown Miami and a dazzling promotion.
May 6, 2021, (Miami, FL) – Celebrations are in order for the Florida Wine Academy, the leading provider of wine, spirits, and sake education in Florida. The academy is celebrating a milestone of five years of wine education, and announces the return of in-person courses and a new location in Downtown Miami. To celebrate the anniversary in style, the academy is launching a month-long promotion of 10% off all sparkling wines using the online promo code “CHEERS” at 305 Wines, the brand’s wine shop in Palmetto Bay.
In an effort to make wine education accessible in light of the pandemic, the Florida Wine Academy made all education services available online for those wishing to learn remotely or obtain an industry certification without leaving home. The academy is now returning to in-person, instructor-led courses, including WSET levels 1-3 in spirits, wines and sake, in addition to French Wine Scholar and Spanish Wine Scholar certifications, at its new location in the historical Ingraham Building in Downtown Miami. The academy will continue to host interactive webinars and virtual events while returning to in-person education.
Florida Wine Academy founders, Alessandra Esteves and Guillerme De Mercado, have become staples in the Miami wine community since the opening of the academy in 2016. The Master of Wine candidate and Master Sake Sommelier have shared their influence and knowledge with wine aficionados, with the organization of the South Florida signature events Miami Champagne Week, now in its six year celebrating all things Champagne, and VinoSummit, the first conference dedicated to wine professionals in South Florida.
“The Florida Wine Academy is thrilled to celebrate this milestone, and we are excited to continue our work of providing wine and sake education to the South Florida wine community and beyond,” said co-founder of Florida Wine Academy, Alessandra Esteves. “We are proud of what we have been able to accomplish, specifically this past year, with our ability to quickly adapt to the shift to online education, becoming the first wine academy to do so,” she added.
This milestone celebration comes after the recent brick and mortar opening of 305 Wines, a retail and digital wine shop in Palmetto Bay, South Miami. 305 Wines was launched by the team at Florida Wine Academy initially to supplement their studies and has since grown to become a South Florida staple providing high-quality, curated wines and sake. Throughout the month of May, customers can enjoy 10% off all sparkling wines using promo code “CHEERS” when shopping online.
