Hispanics in Wine Launches Website to Amplify, Educate and Empower the Hispanic and Latinx Wine Communities

A digital space dedicated to promoting equality, diversity and helping the new generation of Hispanic & Latinx professionals advance in the wine industry

March 8th – Hispanics in Wine, a social organization, is proud to announce the launch of its website, which serves as a digital space for insights into essential industry opportunities and resources in English and Spanish for the Hispanic and Latinx wine communities.

The new website lists job openings, relevant external scholarship opportunities, key trade events, industry insights, and Hispanic/Latinx consumer trends. Furthermore, the website features the “Hispanics in Wine Spotlight Series,” where the team interviews talented individuals from the community to learn about their journey in the wine industry, essential advice to the next generation, and what changes they want to see in the industry.

Hispanics in Wine was founded in 2020 by Lydia Richards and Maria Calvert alongside wine professional Ivonne Nill. The mission is to give back to the Spanish-speaking communities by promoting equality and helping the new generation of Hispanic and Latinx professionals advance in the wine and hospitality industries. Representation matters, Hispanics in Wine aims to encourage and connect people from diverse backgrounds to pursue their dream career path in the industry through the organization; as well as helping wine brands and companies cater to the Hispanic/Latinx population in the U.S., whose buying power is forecasted to top $1.9 trillion by 2023 (Nielsen, January 2020).
