Automated Wine Dispenser, GOblend Tasting Room

Creators of the groundbreaking GOfermentor now offer tasting rooms an automated wine dispenser, GOblend Tasting Room. No more half-empty bottles, no need for expensive gases, and perfect serving size control. Reduce unnecessary bottling and glass bottle wastage. Each GOblend station can dispense up to 4 different wines on tap.

Wines are pumped from storage bags based on SmartBarrel® technology ensuring no oxidation, allowing long-term storage of partial volumes, and minimal cleaning requirements.

The system even allows customers to make their own blends. A simple tablet app makes blending fun, encouraging more tasting sales, and automated operation reduces tasting room staff.

“This is a game changer for the tasting rooms.” notes Vijay Singh, founder of GOfermentor.

How It Works

Customers are sold a wineglass with a built-in RFID tag. The tasting room cashier can authorize any number of tastings on the tag using a supplied RFID writer. When the customer places the glass on the GOblend machine base, it reads the RFID tag, and if it has tasting credits available, a popup dialog is activated on the GOblend display tablet. The customer can now select the wine they want, and it is automatically dispensed. One tasting is subtracted from the credits stored in the RFID tag.

Instead of a single wine, a customer can make a blend of the wines on the machine. GOblend even lets the customer email this custom blend to the winery and request a number of bottles of this blend to be made for them. Providing custom blends, coupled with custom labelling can significantly improve winery profits.

The customer can use the same glass and RFID tag to get tasting from any GOblend unit in the winery, and they could even take the glass home and return to have the unused tastings later.

GOblend app

The winery can set the wines on each unit. Serving size can be set to 2oz or 5oz. The GOblend display tablet can be connected via WiFi, and the winery can set up web pages describing the wines and other information for the customer.

Installation

GOblend can be installed on a counter or a used barrel. It uses a bag-in-box wine storage bags supplied by GOfermentor, and simply plugs-in to any 115vac outlet, requiring no inert gases.

The cleaning is minimal. Drain and rinse end of day. Prime all wine pumps next morning. The peristaltic pumps seal automatically after each dispense.

GOblend Tasting Room machine is being offered at an introductory rate of $3,500.

Noting that this is competitive pricing for a product that will engage customers, generate money, and save costs, Vijay attests that, “we want to make it affordable so that all tasting rooms can buy this equipment.”
