(Healdsburg – CALIF.) —  Flambeaux Wine is the featured winery in the new docuseries CRUSH from SOMM TV set to premiere on Friday, December 18. Flambeaux’s Owner and Vintner Art Murray, along with the winery’s Winemaker Ryan Prichard, share the experience of the 2020 grape harvest with New York-based sommelier Shakera Jones who hosts the television show.

Three generations of the Murray family pick grapes with Jones in the Dry Creek Valley near Healdsburg, California in the first episode, before they move to the Grand Cru Custom Crush winemaking facility to sort and press the grapes that were picked on a single day in September 2020. A short, 30-second trailer that provides a peek into the first episode is available at SommTV.com/crush.

“Our family had a blast sharing the winemaking experience with the CRUSH  crew, which will in turn share it with so many viewers eager to learn about wine on SOMM TV,” said Art Murray, “Shakera is a great host and wine taster with amazing energy. I believe that audiences will enjoy coming along with us, and learning about our attention to detail in making Flambeaux’s world-class wines.”

CRUSH is an original SOMM TV series written and directed by Christina Wise, produced by Diane Carpenter who is also a co-founder of Forgotten Man Films and hosted by sommelier Shakera Jones. Each brings vast experience from multiple perspectives of the worlds of wine, food and visual storytelling.

SOMM TV is an independently-owned network of films, programs and podcasts related to wine, food and travel and has no relation to any sommelier group or wine organization. SOMM TV is the first SVOD (Subscription Video on Demand) streaming platform and full podcast network in the wine, food, and travel space offering exclusive new shows, films, and educational content created from the ground up by the team that made the award-winning SOMM documentary series.

For viewers, SOMM TV is available on every device and smart TV worldwide through a custom app and website, and the free podcasts can be found on all major platforms including iTunes and Spotify. SOMM TV is widely accessible and affordable at just $49.99 for a full year.

Flambeaux prides itself on making hand-crafted, limited-production wines that capture the essence of the Flambeaux Dry Creek Valley Estate Vineyard, as well as other world-class Sonoma County vineyards.  The Flambeaux are the dancing torchbearers of New Orleans Carnival during Mardi Gras, representing tradition, light, dance and joy.

Art and Nicole Murray, co-founded Flambeaux in Healdsburg, California along with his parents Steve and Pattie Murray, and daughters Alys, Elizabeth, Nia and Lila Murray.

At Flambeaux, Winemaker Ryan Prichard (who makes wine at Three Sticks, and has also worked at Williams Selyem, Copain Custom Crush and Medlock Ames) employs the Murray family’s philosophy of allowing the grapes to evolve and naturally grow into what they become. With this minimalist approach, the fruit ends up as the best of itself and results in intriguing and exciting wines. Flambeaux currently produces a Dry Creek Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, Sonoma Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel, Sonoma Coast Chardonnay and Sonoma County Rosé.

Flambeaux wine tastings are available by appointment and often hosted by Flambeaux vintner Art Murray. For more information visit FlambeauxWine.com, call (707) 637-9019 or send an email to info@flambeauxwine.com.
