With over two decades of experience in the fermented beverage industry, Bomben brings a pairing of product expertise as well as leadership and enhanced customer service to the team.

As a seasoned winemaker, Bomben brings over 26 years of experience in the fermented beverage industry. From recipe development to promoting the finished case goods out in the marketplace, Blake has seen and done all aspects of the fermented beverage industry.
Highlights of his career in fermentation and winemaking include a degree from UC Davis in Fermentation Science. After graduating, he worked for the biotechnology firm Genentech Inc. briefly until he decided to pursue a career in brewing and fermentation.
Bomben took a job as Brew Master at El Dorado Brewing Company, a small brewpub in Stockton, California. Over the next few years, he had the opportunity to design and produce different beers throughout the United States, including Kansas City, Missouri and Boca Raton, Florida.
In 2000, he transitioned from beer to wine upon receiving a winemaker position with a medium-sized custom crush winery in Stockton, California. Over time and 20 harvests, Blake’s expertise has expanded across all major wine regions and wine varietals from Aglianico to Zinfandel.

As a Business Development Manager for Ravago, he is responsible for educating the sales team in winemaking, brewing and distilling. He also assists in selecting the next ingredients in their growing portfolio. Additionally, he serves as a resource to customers to help them solve issues. His expertise and leadership will help bring greater customer experience to Ravago Chemicals North America’ Fermented Beverages Division. A toast to Mr. Bomben!
