Interactive Food, Wine & Travel Show Airs Every Thursday Evening This Fall

Paso Robles, CA—Ancient Peaks Winery today announced the launch of “SOMM Voyage”—a weekly food, wine and travel show hosted by Ariana Tsuchiya, sommelier and manager at the Royal Hawaiian Resort in Honolulu.

This innovative and interactive live series airs via Zoom every Thursday this fall and is complimentary to all viewers, with an optional Ancient Peaks wine package for tasting along with each episode.

After striking up a friendship Tsuchiya, Ancient Peaks alighted on the idea of having her host a branded wine appreciation series straight from Waikiki. The result is SOMM Voyage.

“We wanted to create an original series with a friendly, welcoming vibe for anyone interested in food and wine, from enthusiasts to novices,” said Amanda Wittstrom-Higgins, executive vice president at Ancient Peaks Winery. “You are going to love Ariana—she is such a great ambassador and educator, and she is brimming with aloha spirit.”

The first episode of SOMM Voyage—“Aloha from Hawaii: Sauvignon Blanc”—airs on October 1 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. PST. The episode will feature Tsuchiya pairing Ancient Peaks Sauvignon Blanc with Lomi Lomi Salmon and her grandfather’s beloved Watercress Salad.

Future episodes will range from “Pinot Noir & A Movie” to “How to Blind Taste Like A Somm” to “Rosé Your Holiday: Thanksgiving Food Pairings.”

Available to All Food & Wine Lovers

Interested viewers can visit www.AncientPeaks.com/events for the weekly SOMM Voyage episode schedule and corresponding complimentary Zoom registrations. Each episode will conclude with an interactive audience Q&A, and Ancient Peaks will also offer recordings of each episode for those who want to watch later.

Additionally, Ancient Peaks is offering monthly SOMM Voyage Wine Packages, which include the featured wines for the October and November episodes, allowing viewers to taste the wines live with Tsuchiya and, if they are in a cooking mood, enjoy the presented pairings. The packages can be ordered via the events link cited above.

“SOMM Voyage offers a unique way to excite your taste buds, indulge your wanderlust and enjoy a sense of community from the comfort of your own home,” Wittstrom-Higgins said. “It’s also a way to transport yourself at a time when traveling is difficult.”

She added, “We are thrilled to have a talent like Ariana helping steer us to the forefront of original programming for wine appreciation.”

Ancient Peaks is a family-owned winery specializing in wines from our sustainably farmed estate Margarita Vineyard in Paso Robles on California’s Central Coast. Margarita Vineyard stands alone as the southernmost vineyard in the Paso Robles AVA, nestled into the rugged Santa Lucia Mountain Range just 14 miles from the Pacific Ocean. The name Ancient Peaks honors the tall peaks surrounding Margarita Vineyard, which were forged by the collision of the coastal plates. Over time, these same geologic forces blessed us with five distinct soil zones—ancient sea bed, rocky alluvium, shale, volcanic and granitic—that bring natural complexity to our wines. Our tasting room is located in Santa Margarita. Visit www.AncientPeaks.com for more information.
