NAPA, CALIF. (August 21, 2020): Accendo Cellars, the wine brand of two generations of the Araujo family founded in 2013, has named Lisa Tuttle, DipWSET, to be its new National Sales Director. The position supports the wholesale distribution of Accendo’s Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc wines.
As National Sales Director, Tuttle is responsible for overseeing Accendo Cellars’ wholesale domestic and international distribution partners and relationships. Tuttle joins other members of the Accendo team, including longtime winemakers Nigel Kinsman and Françoise Peschon; and Director of Private Clients, Mikael Tigrett.
“We are extremely pleased to welcome Lisa to our organization,” said Bart Araujo, co-founder and proprietor, Accendo Cellars. “Her enthusiasm for the wine business, proven performance representing world-class wines from multi-generational families in California, France, Spain and Italy, and impressive wine education credentials will be tremendous assets for Accendo Cellars.”
Tuttle joins Accendo Cellars with more than 30 years of experience as a top performer in fine wine sales and marketing. Most recently, Tuttle served as the Director of Wines for Stoli Group USA, focusing on sales, education, branding, marketing and winery relations for the organization’s fine wine portfolio. Her career in wine began in restaurants, but she soon transitioned to the sales team with longtime Bay Area importer and wholesaler, Martine’s Wines.
Her career journey next led to three Northern California family-owned wine businesses: a sales management role for Sebastiani Vineyards; regional sales roles for Cline Cellars and Jacuzzi Family Vineyards; as well as sales roles for the luxury wine divisions of Allied Domecq Wines, USA and Constellation Brands before joining Stoli Group USA in 2014. In addition to her work experience, Tuttle has received the WSET Diploma Level 4 and the WSET Educator Certificate. During her tenure at Stoli Group USA she was also a WSET Approved Program Provider.
“I have long-admired the wine-making philosophy of the Araujo family,” said Tuttle. “At first it was solely based on the quality and beauty of their wines. But now as a member of the Accendo Cellars team, I’m most excited to be representing one of the rare, multi-generational family owned and operated wine projects with exceptional winemaking and farming teams, as well as a 30-year history contributing to the evolution and innovation of Napa Valley’s winegrowing culture.”
