3/16/2020 – St. Helena, CA – This morning the board of the Napa Valley Vintners (NVV) unanimously voted to support Governor Newsom’s recommendation to close wineries’ visitor facing operations, including winery visitor centers and tasting rooms in California. During this unprecedented time, the board agrees that the health and wellbeing of the community is the highest priority. Vineyard operations and winery production, as well as essential business operations will continue with enhanced measures following CDC guidelines for a safe working environment.  Wine orders will continue to be taken and shipped.

The NVV will also engage with state and federal representatives to advocate for actions to minimize the impact on all businesses, employees and communities, including augmenting unemployment assistance. The NVV will move forward with new marketing promotions to encourage enjoyment of wine at home and take-out from local restaurants.
