National Importer Adds Clos de L’Oratoire des Papes and Chateau Beaulieu to Portfolio

Folio Fine Wine PartnersNapa, CA – Thursday October 31, 2019 – Rhone Valley’s Clos de L’Oratoire des Papes and Provence producer Chateau Beaulieu are the latest producers to join Folio Fine Wine Partners, expanding the importer’s presence in many of the most prestigious French wine regions.

Clos de L’Oratoire des Papes and Chateau Beaulieu are both part of the AdVini Group – the global leader for terroir wines, and a family-owned company founded in 1870 by the Jeanjean family. Beaulieu joins Folio on November 1, 2019 while Clos de L’Oratoire des Papes starts on January 1, 2020.

Folio Co-Founder and Coach, Michael Mondavi is excited for the growth opportunities that the new portfolio additions will bring, stating:

“Few labels have the historical reference in Châteauneuf-du-Pape like Clos de L’Oratoire des Papes. With a label that has remained unchanged since 1926, the wines are iconic in the Rhone Valley and fit with our philosophy to represent the very best producers in each region.”

Mondavi continued:

“Provence Rosé has proven itself to be a year-round category. We believe that as the US market matures, producers like Chateau Beaulieu, who manage their own vineyards and can consistently produce wines at a higher quality, will be successful.”

Antoine Leccia, President and CEO of the AdVini Group, echoed Mondavi’s comments:

“We are thrilled to associate with a strong brand builder like Folio as these brands have an amazing potential to please the American consumer and deserve to be found in the best restaurants and wine shops. Our partnership provides the right opportunity for these Estates to be as successful in the US market as they have been around the world.”

Located outside the village of Rognes in the heart of the southeastern region of Provence, France, the Chateau Beaulieu Estate comprises 300 hectares and is the largest single Estate in the Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence appellation, with 180 hectares planted to vines interspersed with oak, almond, and truffle trees.

The vineyards are planted on the slopes of the dormant La Trévaresse volcano and benefit from a moderate Mediterranean climate, playing host to a diverse range of mineral-rich soils including volcanic basalt and calcareous clay, to produce exceptional expressions of Provence Rosé. These dry and mineral Rosé wines are a blend of Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Cinsault and Vermentino produced exclusively from Estate-grown fruit.

Clos de L’Oratoire des Papes is an icon of Châteauneuf du Pape with its ultra-recognizable label. Sourced from the best micro-parcels of Châteauneuf du Pape, the 3 releases (white, red and the super-premium Chorégies) are fermented and matured in a unique modern cellar dedicated to these very special wines. Showing top ratings from the best wine-critics, Clos de L’Oratoire des Papes wines are also available as library releases.

Wines from Chateau Beaulieu are the Provence Rosé ($20 SRP) and Cuvee Alexandré Rosé ($25 SRP). Clos de L’Oratoire des Papes releases include the Châteauneuf du Pape Rouge ($75 SRP), Châteauneuf du Pape Blanc ($75 SRP) and Châteauneuf du Pape Rouge Les Choregies ($150 SRP)

Wines are available nationally through fine wine restaurants and retail outlets across the U.S.
