Stoller Family Estate Ranked as Best Tasting Room

2019 marks the third year the winery has placed on the USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards list

August 23, 2019, Dayton, OR – For the second consecutive year, Stoller Family Estate has earned a top spot on the Best Tasting Room list by the 2019 USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards. This year, Stoller is the only Oregon winery on the top 10 list.

“We are so humbled to have been selected in this category three out of the last four years,” said Gary Mortensen, President of Stoller Family Estate. “We’ve always believed in inclusiveness at our winery. We believe this honor is a direct result of our philosophy.”

Nominees were chosen by a panel of wine and travel experts, which included a combination of editors from USA TODAY, editors from 10Best.com, contributors, and sources for both these media and other Gannett Properties. The public voted on the nominees over four weeks.

“The caliber of tasting rooms nominated for this award are truly some of the best in the world,” said Bill Stoller, Owner and Founder of Stoller Family Estate. “We are honored to be named alongside them.”

When guests visit the estate, they are welcomed with breathtaking vineyard views. The 4,000 square foot tasting room has floor-to-ceiling glass garage doors that, when open, create a sense of being in the vineyard.

Driven by Stoller’s sustainability mission, the net-zero tasting room combines environmental sustainability and high-efficiency design. The building harvests 100 percent of its energy through an 1180-panel solar panel installation located across the estate. Other notable design features include a green roof, skylights, salvaged timber, and two EV charging stations for electric vehicles.

Guests can enhance their visit by reserving an Elevated Experience. The Legacy and Gastronomic Tour and Tasting options each offer a different heightened sensory component to ensure visits are memorable.

Open seven days a week from 11 am – 6 pm during the summer, guests can enjoy a flight of wines for $20. The tasting fee is waived with a two-bottle purchase. Cheese and charcuterie boards or items à la carte are available to purchase and enjoy while tasting.
