NAPA VALLEY, Calif. – August 6, 2019 – Acumen is excited to announce that its Acumen Napa Valley Tasting Room at 1315 First Street in downtown Napa will now feature expanded days and hours, and will transition from being by appointment only to being open to the public. To celebrate these changes, the winery is holding a special Acumen Open House at its beautiful Napa tasting room on Wednesday, August 14th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. (For more information, please call 707.251.8885.) This complimentary event will feature delicious appetizers by renowned Chef Ken Frank of Michelin-starred La Toque restaurant, and an array of Acumen’s acclaimed wines. As a highlight of the Open House, the Acumen team will be sharing the coveted 2015 Acumen PEAK Edcora Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, which recently earned a perfect 100-point score from noted wine critic Rich Cook. Following the celebration, the Acumen Tasting Room will be open every Thursday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and by appointment only Monday through Wednesday.
“As a winery, we are dedicated to introducing the amazing and unique mountain wines from the exclusive Atlas Peak AVA to wine lovers everywhere,” says Acumen Estate Director and CFO Mark Castaldi. “Because of the remoteness of our two remarkable estate vineyards on Atlas Peak, our Napa tasting room provides a very accessible venue for experiencing our wines. It is a stunning space, and the perfect place to connect with new customers, welcome our wonderful wine club members, and grow our community of friends and fellow mountain wine enthusiasts.”
When Acumen’s new hours begin on August 15th, guests will be offered several tasting options, including the Estate Tasting hosted in the stylish Tasting Lounge, and The Summit Experience, which features a guided tasting of the Acumen portfolio paired alongside a selection of local cheeses and charcuterie. Individual and private small-group tastings will also be available by appointment. The Acumen Napa Valley Tasting Room will also offer expanded tasting options, including a rotating selection of wine flights, as well as an array of special events throughout 2019, including art installations, book signings, a series of mountain appellation tastings, and exclusive Acumen Wine Club events.
