Three-Day Event Showcases World-Class Napa Valley Wine Region to Support the Alzheimer’s Association®

NAPA, Calif. (January 31, 2018) – Wine industry tastemaker, Kerrin Laz, founder and proprietor of the K. LAZ WINE COLLECTION, has announced the inaugural Inspire Napa Valley, taking place May 4 – 6, 2018, in support of the Alzheimer’s Association. This dynamic fundraising event is committed to inspiring change and raising awareness in Napa Valley by bringing wine industry leaders and enthusiasts together to support national funding for both Alzheimer’s disease research and care for families affected by the disease in Northern California.

“When my mother was diagnosed with younger-onset Alzheimer’s in 2014, I knew I must act to help fight this disease, which is why I founded Inspire Napa Valley,” said Laz. “Through this three-day event, wine will be the catalyst to advance awareness. Our goal is to raise more than $1 million for Alzheimer’s and dementia research while supporting individuals who are currently living with the disease.”

Inspire Napa Valley will offer wine enthusiasts, philanthropists, and industry leaders a unique opportunity to mingle with Napa’s top vintners and winemakers. The VIP weekend begins with an evening wine reception and dinner on Friday, May 4 at Abreu Las Posadas Vineyards on Howell Mountain, followed by a special wine tasting experience taking place on the morning of Saturday, May 5 at PRESS Napa Valley. This exclusive tasting will be moderated by Vinous Founder Antonio Galloni, featuring exceptional wines chosen by distinguished wine industry panelists.  The program will also include an update on Alzheimer’s research from the Alzheimer’s Association.

The event continues Saturday afternoon at the Culinary Institute of America at Greystone with a walk-around wine tasting featuring 40 of the most sought-after cult wines in California wine country, including Abreu Vineyards, BOND, Bryant Family Vineyard, Colgin Cellars, Dalla Valle Vineyards, Harlan Estate, Eisele Vineyard, Rudd Estate, Scarecrow, Screaming Eagle, and more.  Saturday evening’s highlights include a seated dinner, live auction, paddle raise, and musical entertainment hosted in the historic Barrel Room at the Culinary Institute of America at Greystone.  The event concludes on Sunday, May 6 with a VIP brunch at Thomas Keller’s Ad Hoc, featuring fried chicken and waffles, seasonal fare, mimosas, and a Bloody Mary bar.
