Castle Rock Winery is pleased to announce that it has extended its exclusive distribution partnership with Southern Wine and Spirits into the states of Washington, Oregon, Alaska and Minnesota effective February 1, 2016. This move adds to the existing partnership between Castle Rock and Southern in their California, Arizona, Nevada, and New Mexico divisions. “Strengthening our distribution network is a key factor for us as we move into the next phase of our growth,” says Greg Popovich, Castle Rock’s founder and president. “Southern Wine and Spirits is the largest and most professional distributor of wine in the U.S., and we are thrilled by the opportunities for growth which the partnership will bring.”
Castle Rock Winery produces and sells approximately 500,000 cases of wine a year. The winery has an emphasis on several different appellations of Pinot Noir, and makes wines from quality regions on the West Coast from Paso Robles in the South up to Columbia Valley in Washington State in the North. The winery’s business plan is based on growing to 1 million cases within 4-5 years. The winery garners excellent reviews from the major wine publications, and its flagship wine, 2013 Mendocino County Pinot Noir, was recognized as a “Top 100 Value” by the Wine Spectator in its year-end review of 2015.
