Estate winery adds monthly Vinyl Night, bottles two BRIO wines

SUTTON’S BAY, MICH. (June 11, 2024) – The staff at Shady Lane Cellars is gearing up for summer crowds on Michigan’s scenic Leelanau Peninsula.

New to the roster, the estate winery has launched a monthly event sure to draw nostalgic music fans. On the first Saturday of each month, Shady Lane Cellars will host a Special Blend Vinyl Night. DJ Franck will dig deep into his record crates to create a funk and jazz-infused evening of music and wine.

Guests are invited to flip through records to make a request or inquire about a wine and vinyl pairing – all in a stunning vineyard setting. Shady Lane Cellars’ Special Blend Vinyl Nights runs from 5-8 p.m. The next events will be June 1, July 6 and Aug. 3, 2024.

“There’s something magical about this mix of music and wine,” said Kasey Wierzba, executive winemaker and general manager.

Shady Lane Cellars has already earned a strong following for its Friday Night Live music series. Friday Night Live began in early 2023 to give local residents and out-of-town guests a chance to enjoy live, local entertainment while relaxing with a glass of wine after a long week. The weekly event runs from 4-7 p.m. year-round.

Guests can purchase wine – by the flight or glass – as well as specialty cocktails, charcuterie and snacks. A fresh list of talent has been announced:

  • A to Z Band on June 14
  • Kyle Brown on June 21
  • Four Roses on June 28

Coming in June, fans of Shady Lane Cellars’ BRIO label will find more to love about this “wine with vivacity from Michigan’s Leelanau Peninsula.”

While BRIO Red has always been available in bottles, two more of these small batch blends are about to follow suit. BRIO Blanc and BRIO Rose will also be available by the bottle for the first time this summer. Bottles are $16 each.

  • BRIO Blanc – off-dry and bright with fresh tropical fruit flavors
  • BRIO Rose – a burst of fresh berries, white peach and tangerine
  • BRIO Red – flavors of raspberry reduction, cherry preserves and warm baking spice combine into a soft finish

“These are the wines you want to bring along on a picnic or to share with friends in front of a campfire,” said Wierzba. “Like our Shady Lane Cellars wines, BRIO is also 100 percent estate-grown and SIP-Certified.”
