SALINAS, California – April 2, 2019 – Scheid Family Wines (SFW) announced today it has hired Miles Johnson as the company’s new Director of Marketing. In his new role Miles will lead all marketing efforts for SFW’s portfolio of private labels and national brands including Scheid Vineyards, Metz Road, District 7, Ranch 32, Ryder Estate, VDR and Stokes’ Ghost.
As part of his responsibilities Miles will develop and execute the company’s annual strategic marketing plans and manage the direction and day-to-day activities of the marketing department. He will oversee pricing, packaging, advertising, promotion, public relations, digital and social media marketing, market research, and new product development.
Miles has an extensive background in the wine industry. Prior to joining SFW, he held high-level marketing positions at some of the world’s most significant wine companies including Marketing Director for Purple Wine & Spirits, Field Marketing Director for Rémy Cointreau USA, Director of Marketing for Precept Wine, Sr. Product Manager for Columbia Crest Winery, Director of Marketing and Public Relations for King Estate Winery, and Brand Manager for Sebastiani Vineyards.
