Wine & Hip Hop Presents: Terroir Tapes – Napa
May 6 @ 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm PDT

On May 6th, experience fine wine and hip-hop in a way that feels natural, unfiltered, and unforgettable. All eyes are on Napa for the Terroir Tapes: Listening Session following Jermaine Stone’s keynote at Napa Rise, a summit on sustainability and equity in wine.
Hosted by Jermaine Stone—Emmy-nominated host of Street Somm, the first Black commercial wine auctioneer, and founder of Wine & Hip-Hop—this event bridges the gap between wine culture and hip-hop’s global influence. A Wine Enthusiast 40 Under 40 honoree, Stone has been featured in The New York Times, Us Weekly, and Sway in the Morning, using his platform to challenge industry norms and redefine the conversation around wine.
For the first time in Napa, Jermaine Stone and Maryam Ahmed are bringing their worlds together for a night of wine, music, and culture, featuring:
Guided Wine & Hip-Hop Pairing – Featuring wines from three renowned regions will be paired with iconic hip-hop cities, breaking down how place and identity shape both.
Live Music & Surprise Performances – Throughout the night, Jermaine will bring out special guests to create an energy you won’t find anywhere else.
Food by Chef Darryl Bell Jr. – James Beard Award nominee and Michelin-trained Chef Darryl Bell Jr. will serve up his signature Kansas City BBQ, paired to complement the night’s wines.
Conversations That Matter – Expect real talk about how culture, history, and environment influence both wine and hip-hop—beyond just flavors and beats.
This isn’t just a tasting or party – it’s a meeting point where two cultures that have more in common than most realize. It’s about honing the craft of storytelling, and the places that shape both great wine and great music.
“Wine and music are both storytelling mediums, deeply rooted in place and identity. This collaboration amplifies voices and stories that shape culture, creativity, and community.” – Maryam Ahmed
With only 80 spots, this event is built for real wine heads, real music fans, and anyone who understands the value of both.
