Unified Wine & Grape Symposium 2024
January 23 - January 25
Hosted by the American Society for Enology and Viticulture (ASEV) and the California Association of Winegrape Growers (CAWG), the event will take place at the SAFE Credit Union Convention Center from January 23-25, 2024, in the heart of downtown Sacramento.
This year’s program includes relevant sessions designed to keep the grape and wine industry updated on the latest innovations, emerging trends, and best practices needed for future planning and important business decisions. With a diverse range of sessions covering topics such as artificial intelligence, regenerative agriculture, growing in extreme weather, and more, there’s a session for every interest in this year’s program.
Other event highlights include:
- A keynote address by California Department of Food and Agriculture Secretary Karen Ross at the opening day luncheon on Tuesday, January 23.
- The State of the Industry session on Wednesday, January 24, featuring speakers Jeff Bitter of Allied Grape Growers, Danny Brager of Brager Beverage Alcohol Consulting, Steve Fredricks of Turrentine Brokerage, Susana García Dolla of Interprofessional Wine Organization of Spain and moderator Mike Veseth of The Wine Economist.
- A continental breakfast and opportunity for networking at the Thursday, January 25, general session, “Wine Industry Game Changers: A Deep Dive Conversation on the Future of Wine and How We Got Here.” In this session, attendees will gain valuable insights into the trajectory of the industry from some of wine’s top tastemakers, game-changers, and problem-solvers.
- The Workshop in Spanish, which will explore how artificial intelligence can support growers and wineries and address strategies for adapting to the changing climate and consumption trends. The workshop, presented completely in Spanish, also features a Q&A with the speakers, breakfast, and a guided wine tasting.
