NVC Winery Friday Tastings Welcomes David Howell
February 20 @ 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm PST
After a 30-year career with the U.S. Geological Survey, David decided to combine his expertise of the land with his love of wine. He became a Stanford professor, teaching the highly popular Geology and Wines of California course. He later went on to co-author “The Winemaker’s Dance,” a book which has been called “required reading for anybody who is an ambassador or in a hospitality room in Napa.” We owe the magic of Harlan, Bond, and many other Napa estate wines to David, whose consultations with vintners has made a lasting impact. Join us this week as David pulls back the curtain on the geological forces that shaped the Napa Valley.
