Benton County wineries to offer special events and deals to celebrate end of harvest season
Corvallis, OR. (November 20, 2024) – While primarily known as being the home to Oregon State University, Corvallis is a picturesque small town in its own right. Located in the southern part of the famed wine region of the Willamette Valley, Corvallis is home to over a dozen boutique and nationally recognized wineries.
During the weekends before and after Thanksgiving, many Corvallis area wineries will be opening their doors to host open houses for the public. Local wineries will be celebrating Thanksgiving and the end of the harvest season with special events where visitors can expect live music, wine tasting, plenty of fun and excellent Oregon wine for everyone.
A few top open house events at Benton County wineries include:
- Join Airlie Winery for their annual Thanksgiving Open House Nov. 29-Dec. 1 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. to celebrate the holiday. Their $15 tasting flight will be accompanied by a plate of light hors d’oeuvres.
- Join Bluebird Hill Cellars for a special Thanksgiving weekend on Nov. 23-24 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.and Nov. 29-Dec. 1 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. They’ll have seated tastings outdoors on their covered and heated front porch and under their tasting room canopy. They’ll also be offering a holiday two-pack for 10% off.
- Compton Family Wines will host a Weekend Barrel Tasting Experience on the weekends before and after Thanksgiving, Nov. 23-24 and Nov. 29-Dec. 1, 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. Barrel tastings will start on the hour, with the last tasting at 4 p.m.
- Fullerton Wines is hosting the Winery Comedy Tour in their Corvallis location on November 30 at 7 p.m. This night will feature comedians whose witty humor will leave you in stitches. Tickets are $15 each up to two days before the show, $17 each up to one day before the show, and $20 on the day of the show.
- Join Lumos Wine Company for Thanksgiving weekend, Nov. 29-Dec.1. They’ll be offering various specials and hosting a local artist’s show.
