Calistoga, Calif. – (October 11, 2024) – Family-owned and operated Kenefick Ranch today announced the debut of its newest vintage, the 2021 Pickett Road Red. Complementing the vineyard’s esteemed collection of highly rated wines, this red blend is crafted from some of the winery’s most complex blocks and is composed of 60% Petit Verdot, 35% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc. Available for just $55 per bottle, the 2021 vintage embodies the fine craftsmanship for which Kenefick Ranch is known.

The 2021 Pickett Road Red offers inviting notes of fresh berry preserve, spicy French Oak and vanilla bean. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and well-structured, with flavors of tamarind and tart boysenberry that provides a long, satisfying finish. Aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, this wine is both approachable in its youth and capable of aging gracefully for many years. The red blend pairs excellent with fall flavors, enhancing dishes like roasted root vegetables, hearty beef stews, and savory mushroom risottos, making it an ideal choice for cozy autumn gatherings.
