Trio of Promotions Will Encourage People to Share Wine with Friends & Family

Dundee Hills, Ore.– Sept. 17, 2024 – Sokol Blosser Winery, a pioneering family-owned and -operated winery, is joining the growing Come Over October movement to encourage people to gather with friends over wine during October, and beyond.

Sokol Blosser 50th anniversary year, Dundee Hills AVA, Willamette Valley, Oregon

Sokol Blosser has three ways to participate in its Come Over October program:

  1. At the winery, Sokol Blosser will offer a “Buy Two Bottles, Get a Third Half Off” deal throughout the month. * The third bottle is of equal or lesser value.
  2. Online, Sokol Blosser will offer two shipping promotions.
    • Oct. 1-15: flat-rate $10 ground shipping with the order of three or more bottles with promo code OCTOBER
    • Oct. 16-31: shipping included on any holiday gift pack
  3. On social media, Sokol Blosser will launch an Instagram contest inviting people to tag @sokolblosser and use hashtag #comeoveroctober in posts throughout the month. Posts should show people sharing a bottle of any Sokol Blosser or Evolution wine during October.  A winner will be drawn at random on Nov. 1 to receive a $1 magnum of Sokol Blosser Pinot Noir!

“We’re all in on this campaign,” said Sokol Blosser President Alex Sokol Blosser. “As someone who was raised with a vineyard as my backyard, my belief in wine as a catalyst for bringing people together goes deep.

“Reports portraying wine as ‘bad for you’ are extreme. As with many of life’s pleasures, whether it is wine or French fries or cookies, moderation is key. Sharing wine, food, conversation, stories, memories, laughter (and even tears) is a vital part of the human experience. We hope our programs inspire people to raise a glass with friends and family this month and every month!”

The Come Over October campaign was conceived by author and wine expert Karen MacNeil and wine PR pros Kimberly Noelle Charles and Gino Colangelo as a way to inspire people to get together with friends over wine in the face of reports citing that no amount of wine is safe to consume. Sokol Blosser is proud to participate in the campaign.
