Fredericksburg, TX (4/17/2024) – The Texas Wine Auction proudly announces its upcoming gala event, “Celebrating the Stars Deep in the Heart of Texas,” to be held on May 4, 2024, at the luxurious Carter Creek Winery and Resort in Johnson City from 6:00 pm to 11:30 pm. 

The Presenting Sponsor of the event is the Create Healthy Foundation located in Fredericksburg, Texas. The impact of the Create Healthy Sponsorship has been nothing short of transformational. “We’re just incredibly grateful to Create Healthy for this funding,” states Valerie Elkins, Chair of the Board of Directors at the Texas Wine Auction Foundation. “It has made it possible to provide supportive counseling and education for our hospitality workers who are the very reason our region is such a desirable place to live and visit.” 

The Texas Wine Auction stands as a testament to the power of community and collaboration, providing essential services such as health education and affordable mental health resources to those in need. During the initial pilot, the program aptly named Wellness Uncorked, provided participants with a paid membership to the Stevens Wellness Center to promote physical wellness. In addition the program has facilitated health fairs that benefited over 200 participants, and enabled nearly 100 individuals to access mental health services at nominal costs. The ongoing mission tackles the critical shortage of mental health resources in Texas, paving the way for complimentary group counseling sessions and vital educational seminars. The goal for 2024 is to increase funding to double the amount of people impacted by these programs and support additional mental health resources within the Hill Country and surrounding community. 

Create Healthy’s investment resonates deeply in the Texas Hill Country community. CEO Jayne Pope, RN, remarks on the significance of this partnership, “Our region’s economy and quality of life would be much diminished without our thriving hospitality industry. Supporting the mental and emotional health and well-being of the individuals who contribute to that industry is one way Create Healthy gives back.”

Over $375,000 has been raised thus far to support local physical and mental health initiatives.
