Scheid Family Wines Launches Certified Organic “Grandeur” Cabernet Sauvignon to Celebrate Earth Month

Scheid leads in organic winemaking and transparency, from bee conservation to ingredient labeling

Monterey, CA, April 18, 2024 – As the world embraces Earth Month, Scheid Family Wines is  excited to announce the expansion of its certified organic brand, Grandeur, with the addition of a Cabernet Sauvignon to the line-up. Exemplifying its commitment to organic farming, sustainability and quality, Grandeur Cabernet Sauvignon is now available in select markets and on its website.

“We are thrilled to expand the Grandeur portfolio with the introduction of Cabernet Sauvignon,” says Heidi Scheid, Executive Vice President. “This addition reflects our ongoing commitment to organic farming and transparency, with a label that shares exactly what ingredients are used in our wines. We believe that great wine begins with a profound respect for the land, and we are proud to celebrate Earth Month by sharing our newest creation with wine lovers everywhere.”

The debut of Grandeur Cabernet Sauvignon, certified organic by California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF), addresses the increased demand for transparent labeling by conscientious consumers. The revamped label includes an average analysis displaying calorie content, carbohydrates, protein and fat, alongside a comprehensive ingredient list. The label also showcases that it is a vegan friendly and gluten free wine and includes a QR code directing consumers to the brand’s webpage for a deeper dive into the sustainable practices employed in crafting this exceptional wine.

Now with 667 certified organic acres, Scheid Family Wines is the largest CCOF-certified organic winegrape grower on the Central Coast. This month also marks the commencement of the winery’s inaugural phase towards earning its Bee Friendly certification, providing essential support for the resident bee colony that thrives on its vineyard.

Grandeur 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon (SRP $22.99) is a full-bodied wine packing vibrant sophistication. With luscious dark fruit aromas and a disarming freshness, the palate is rich and smooth, unfolding into generous flavors of blackberry, black currant, and cassis intertwined with a subtle hint of dark chocolate. The tannins are ripe and firm but not parching, moving seamlessly into a structured and lingering finish. Whether paired with grilled delights or savored on its own, Grandeur Cabernet Sauvignon invites you to indulge in flavors born of nature’s bounty.

Grandeur wines continue to roll out nationally, with Grandeur Rosé and Grandeur Red Blend available at select retailers, including H-E-B, Natural Grocers, and Total Wine & More. Grandeur wines may also be purchased online at www.grandeurwines.com. Follow along on Instagram @grandeurwines.
