DeLille Cellars Promotes Janna Rinker to Vice President of Sales

Woodinville, WA – August 9, 2023 – DeLille Cellars, a pioneering Washington State winery, is delighted to announce the promotion of Janna Rinker to the position of Vice President of Sales. This promotion recognizes Janna’s exceptional leadership and significant contribution to DeLille’s sales growth and strategic initiatives. Rinker’s promotion is particularly noteworthy, as she is the first individual to hold the Vice President of Sales position since DeLille’s Co-founder, Jay Soloff.

“Janna has done a remarkable job expanding our distribution and bringing DeLille to more wine consumers outside Washington State. There is a lack of representation of Washington wine in the premium and luxury categories across the U.S., and we’re excited to continue showcasing the world-class wine quality of the state and the exceptional talent of our winemaking team. This promotion recognizes her talent and contribution to DeLille’s vision of becoming the most recognized, accessible, and loved wine company from Washington State,” said Tom Dugan, DeLille’s CEO.

Since her hiring in late 2020 as Director of National Sales, Rinker has transformed DeLille’s distribution network, including the winery’s self-distribution and export channels. Under Rinker’s leadership, DeLille Cellars has witnessed remarkable growth and advanced as a leading Washington producer in markets outside Washington State. DeLille is represented in over 3,000 accounts globally, a testament to the brand’s increasing popularity and widespread recognition. The success of DeLille’s renowned Bordeaux-inspired blends, D2 and Chaleur Blanc, further reinforces the impact of Rinker’s contribution. According to Nielsen, both wines now rank within the top 15 for their respective varietal and price categories, reflecting their growing appeal and consumer demand.

“I remain very excited about the opportunity ahead for DeLille and to lead our sales function,” said Rinker. “The Washington Wine industry has an incredible amount of growth potential in the U.S. and around the world, and with our amazing team and distribution partners, DeLille is uniquely poised to be a leader for our region. I’m proud to say that between plans for growth and our new Métier brand, DeLille’s legacy of excellence and commitment to quality are now available to more consumers – putting Washington wines in conversation and on the map.”

Additionally, Rinker played a pivotal role in the creation and successful launch of DeLille’s exciting and rapidly growing Métier brand. With more affordable price points, DeLille’s Métier wines were created to bring greater awareness to Washington’s Columbia Valley AVA and to reach new audiences. Métier opens the door for new opportunities and accounts while introducing DeLille to a broader range of consumers, expanding the winery’s reach and influence. DeLille is planning additional announcements regarding the Métier brand this fall.
