Franciacorta Hosts First Official Restaurant Weeks in Chicago July 21 – August 6, 2023

July 20th – Franciacorta is proud to announce that the first-ever Franciacorta Restaurant Weeks will be held in Chicago, IL and surrounding areas from July 21 – August 6, 2023.

Participating restaurants include: Acanto, Maple Lake Wine & Spirits, Picnic Wine & Provisions, Geneva Wine Cellars, Monteverde, Table Donkey Stick, 1776 Restaurant, Pops for Champagne, Atelier Restaurant, The Italian Village, Coco Pazzo.

“We’re pleased to expand the reach of Franciacorta in the mid-west,” said President of the Consorzio Franciacorta, Silvano Brescianini, “we are invested in the market and are looking forward to adding the list of Franciacorta lovers in Chicago both through trade and consumers.”

Promotions will include multiple by-the-glass offerings throughout as well as events and food pairings such as Franciacorta & caviar. Consorzio Franciacorta is the body which guarantees and monitors Franciacorta production standards, as the first Italian wine produced exclusively with the bottle refermentation process to have obtained the Protected and Guaranteed Designation of Origin (DOCG) denomination in 1995. The consortium’s work is developed in various activities: from safeguarding the brand and the area, and promoting the product in ongoing work on the production regulations and standards, to raising consumer awareness and promoting Franciacorta as an expression of an area, a wine and a production method. Founded on 5 March 1990, its head offices are in Erbusco, in the heart of Franciacorta. The consortium is presided over by Silvano Brescianini and has 122 wine estate members.
