SALT LAKE CITY, 06/28/2023— The Masterclass Utah Summer Series is back. The tagline says it all. Reminiscent of the 2018 and 2019 editions, which reveled in farm-to-table epicureanism, this year’s post-pandemic return of the gastronomic event series organized by Salt Lake City based Terrestoria Wine Imports promises to be equally delicious and jubilant. But the elephant in the room—the herd, rather, of contemporary uncertainties—escapes no one. Masterclass Utah is back indeed—only this time with an emphasis on joining not only wine glasses, but also on gathering people who are eager to explore common ground with one another.
“Wine is one of our most ancestral means for dialogue and fellowship,” says Stephanie Cuadra, Terrestoria’s founder. “It also presents an interesting paradox because in spite of the astounding diversity of Vitis vinifera grapes from which wines are produced around the globe, wine teaches us more about what makes everyone essentially similar as opposed to distinct,” Cuadra suggests. “Like each of us, it’s the product of migration, the mingling of cultures and adaption to changing environmental conditions. From a glass of wine, we can literally drink that shared human experience.”
While synergistic relationships will be the running theme throughout Masterclass Utah 2023, the season-long program—slated over the course of eight evenings from mid-July to late-August—will offer locals and summer visitors to the Beehive State the opportunity to simply enjoy Italian and Spanish wines from Terrestoria’s portfolio of small family estates—alongside food pairings created by the chefs and principals of several prominent Utah restaurants including Midway Mercantile, Pago on Main, Emigration Café and Table X.
Whether participants attend a seminar-style workshop such as the Utah Wine Store Gems tasting at Tracy Aviary on August 10th or one of Masterclass Utah’s elaborate chef table wine dinners, the convivial nature of every module in the summer series will make wine education both fun and memorable. Thanks in particular to partnerships with Lifelong Learning at the University of Utah, Wasatch Academy of Wine and the Wine Academy of Utah, event goers can expect to expand their knowledge about the vast world of wine while strengthening personal ties within their own communities.

ABOUT TERRESTORIA WINE IMPORTS
