Taste the Vineyard with Inman Family Wines’ New Vineyard and Garden Tour Experience

(June 15, 2023; Santa Rosa, Calif.)—This summer, Inman Family Wines’ Winemaker and Owner Kathleen Inman is pleased to welcome guests into her Russian River Valley Olivet Grange estate vineyard for a new immersive “Sip and Stroll” tasting experience, which brings guests right into her regenerative and organically farmed vineyard as they sip wines made straight from the estate grapes.

“The Olivet Grange Vineyard has been the heart of Inman Family Wines ever since my husband and I fell in love with it in 1999,” says Kathleen. “When making our wines, we are always thinking about how we can best express the character of the vineyard. By bringing visitors in to walk among the vines, we are excited to have an opportunity to show them the care we take to cultivate each cluster, which they will be able to see and taste as they enjoy our wines while exploring the estate.”

Upon arrival, guests are greeted with a glass of one of Kathleen’s elegant sparkling wines for sipping on the patio before embarking on an intimate look at the soils and vines that grew the wines. Kathleen then leads guests to the Olivet Grange Vineyard and guides them through the details of her “eco-ethics” philosophy, which includes hand-tending the vines and cultivating a diverse ecosystem to craft wines that reflect the land on which they are grown. Kathleen has been a pioneer of organic and sustainable farming since her first vintage in 2002, taking steps to minimize the use of pesticides, cultivate a healthy environment that incorporates surrounding plant life and much more.

The tour presents a unique opportunity for guests to get outside this summer and enjoy the wines from Inman Family Wines while hearing from Kathleen herself about her long history as a leader of winemaking and sustainability in Sonoma County. She was one of the first to make an intentional rosé in the area, with her first vintage in 2004, and uses compost derived primarily from restaurant food scraps, among an ever-growing list of practices that guests will learn about on the tour.

Throughout the experience, visitors may enjoy a selection of Inman Family Wines’ bottlings made from the estate grapes before finishing with a walk through the Farmhouse garden, where Kathleen hand-grows a plethora of fresh fruit and vegetables.

“Sip and Stroll: Vineyard and Garden Tour and Tasting” ($95 per person; $65 for club members) is available for booking online at inmanfamilywines.com now through Sept. 30, subject to the winemaker’s availability. In addition to the “Sip and Stroll” tasting, Inman Family Wines also offers a seated tasting ($30 per person; complimentary for club members) and its “Meet the Maker” private seated tasting hosted by Kathleen ($100 per person; $30 for club members). All of the tasting options may be booked on the Inman Family Wines website.
