Prowine Hong Kong 2023: The Hub for Wine Trade in Asia

May 24th – As the first international wine and spirits trade fair to return to Hong Kong after the easing of the post-pandemic travel restriction, ProWine Hong Kong 2023 attracted 140 exhibitors from 12 countries and 11,733 trade buyers. Industry professionals from around the world came together to discuss the future trends of the global wine and spirits market and to share opportunities and challenges in the wine market. ProWine Hong Kong provided a gateway for global wine producers to expand their business into Asia, while also providing a high-quality platform for local buyers to source the best wine from around the world.

Strong recovery of the Asian wine market attracts country pavilions

At ProWine Hong Kong 2023, it was evident that wine producers from France, Germany, Italy, the U.S. and mainland China have chosen Asia as their primary target market, in addition to international and national joint stands. Wine companies used ProWine Hong Kong as a business platform to reach more potential customers and expand business in Asia. The 3-day trade show demonstrated the strong growth of the Asian wine market.

Hong Kong: Central Meeting Point for thriving Asian wine market

As an important trading hub and port in the Asia-Pacific region, Hong Kong has a pivotal role in the development of the Asian wine market. During ProWine Hong Kong 2023, a wide variety of French wine regions exhibited under the umbrella of Business France and German wines were presented within a national pavilion supported by the German Wine Institute in addition to other  national pavilions.  The Italian Trade Commission also showcased their country’s best wines this year during the trade fair. In addition, Ningxia Helan Mountain’s East Foothill Wine Region introduced a variety of Chinese fine wines at ProWine Hong Kong 2023.

First-class ancillary program and panel discussions

The distinguished Debra Meiburg, Master of Wine, and Corinne Mui, an award-winning wine and sake educator and author, as well as numerous other industry celebrities engaged in lively discussions on cutting-edge topics such as “The Future and Development of Wine in Asia” and the promotion of the wine market in Asia Pacific. The trade visitors were very satisfied with these industry-focused events.
