Family-Owned Napa Winery Introduces $30 Tasting for Novice Wine Consumers
(Napa, Calif.)—May 24, 2022—Trefethen Family Vineyards, one of Napa’s pioneering family-owned estate wineries, today announced a new tasting experience for novice wine consumers called Take Off with Trefethen, which will launch June 1. Priced affordably at $30 per person, guests will have the opportunity to taste four of Trefethen’s wines, including Dry Riesling, Chardonnay, their Dragon’s Tooth Red Blend, and Cabernet Sauvignon, Monday through Thursday at 10am.
After checking in, a wine educator will lead guests to Trefethen’s “petting zoo” demonstration vineyard, which showcases multiple grape varieties (from Chardonnay and Cabernet to Malbec and Riesling). The wine educator will provide a taste of Dry Riesling from keg, our most environmentally friendly packaging, while sharing a brief introduction to viticulture and the Trefethen family’s longtime commitment to sustainability. Guests will then return to Trefethen’s historic winery, which dates to the 1880s, for an educational and fun seated tasting of the remaining three wines. It’s a perfect opportunity for budding wine lovers to ask questions about everything from swirling and spitting etiquette to how to hold a wine glass and how long an open wine lasts.
