Organizational Update from Trinchero Family Estates

May 24th – Today Trinchero Family Estates made the following appointments along with a reorganization of their internal selling and marketing organization. President and CEO Bob Torkelson noted, “Our strength as a 75‐year‐ old family‐owned company is rooted in understanding the needs of our customers and consumers and giving them quality products at every level of our portfolio. This new structure and our next generation of leaders will set us up to deliver on our strategic growth goals in the coming years.” 

Dave Derby has been promoted to SVP and Chief Commercial Officer, and he will lead the new Sales and Marketing structure. With TFE since 1997 and previously with E.&J. Gallo, Derby brings a wealth of experience in the industry and has demonstrated success in roles within Sales, Marketing, and National Retail 

Development. Derby will continue to report to Bob Torkelson and will unite Sales and Marketing to support TFE’s commitment to consumers while building on the organization’s strategic relationships with wholesalers, retailers, and on‐premise accounts. During Derby’s tenure at TFE, the portfolio has grown from fewer than 5 brands to over 50 and expanded into luxury and spirits offerings.   

Bob Tremain has been promoted to VP and National Sales Manager and will lead Sales Execution for TFE. Tremain will report to Dave Derby and his focus will be achieving distribution, revenue, and sales goals with the Sales team in coordination with the wholesaler network. Tremain has been with TFE for over 15 years, recently leading the West region and national on‐premise, helped build TFE’s fine wine Heritage division and has over 25 years experience in the industry. Derby and Tremain’s collective experience and leadership under President and CEO Bob Torkelson represent an organizational evolution to meet the industry’s changing landscape, and a commitment to continue to grow TFE’s wine and spirits portfolio.
