Oakville Wine Merchant Now Open in Healdsburg

Boisset CollectionAugust 11th – Oakville Wine Merchant, the wine shop of the Oakville Grocery, founded in 1881,  has opened a second location in Healdsburg. The newest location to open within the Boisset Collection, Oakville Wine Merchant is located adjacent to Oakville Grocery Healdsburg at 122 Matheson Street on the Healdsburg Plaza.

Oakville Wine Merchant – Healdsburg will have 40 wines on offer showcasing a robust collection of Sonoma County’s finest wines from acclaimed producers, including Sonoma’s cult producers to local favorites and pioneering producers. A reserve selection of Burgundian wines from the Boisset Collection will also be available, alongside select curated wines from Champagne, Napa, and other regions.

Proprietor Jean-Charles Boisset was drawn to Sonoma County and the Russian River when he purchased DeLoach Vineyards in 2003, as it greatly reminded him of the terroir of Burgundy, where he was born. Since purchasing the Oakville Grocery in 2019, Boisset has focused on increasing the assortment of locally sourced, artisanal and sustainably produced food and wine, expanded the selection of local wines, enhanced the food, beverages and coffee through improved ingredients and providers, created the Oakville Wine Merchant and 1881 Napa Museum, and developed a comprehensive range of Oakville Grocery products in collaboration with local partners.

The grand opening will be celebrated with a reception on Thursday, August 11 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. A selection of Boisset Collection wines alongside an assortment of cheese, charcuterie and pizzas from the Oakville Grocery will be served throughout the evening.
