SACRAMENTO, July 26, 2022 – The California Association of Winegrape Growers (CAWG) has announced its endorsement of John Duarte for the 13th Congressional District.
Duarte has a proven track record of leadership in the California wine industry. From his past service as a Director of CAWG, to his continuing advocacy on issues important to growers, John is uniquely qualified to represent agricultural communities that rely on growers for economic vitality, creation of jobs, and revenues that support public services.
Duarte has long fought to create a reliable water supply system in California, which focuses on both increasing our supply of water and conservation. Duarte will bring much-needed common sense to Congress on this issue of vital importance to growers.
As a farmer and businessperson, Duarte understands the regulatory challenges and financial burdens facing the wine industry. Duarte will be the voice of reason in pushing for sensible and workable regulations.
