Lynmar Estate Debuts New Spring “Collectors Lunch Pairing” Menu at Scenic Tasting Room

Bucolic winery to offer one-of-a-kind seasonal food and wine experience in the heart of the Russian River Valley

(April 13; Sebastopol, CA) – Lynn and Anisya Fritz, proprietors of Russian River Valley’s Lynmar Estate, are pleased to introduce a new “Collectors Lunch Pairing” menu at the winery and tasting room in Sebastopol, CA. At the helm is Estate Chef David Frakes, who curates visually and gastronomically stimulating tasting experiences for visitors utilizing the bounty of fresh seasonal ingredients grown on the estate. Available at Lynmar Estate’s scenic Quail Hill Vineyard, the lunch takes place at a private table where guests can enjoy an elevated three-course meal, individually plated, and paired to Lynmar’s exquisite estate-grown Chardonnay and Pinot Noir wines. The “Collectors Lunch Pairing” experience is offered at $200 per person, Thursday through Sunday at 11:00 a.m., for groups of up to six guests. For reservations, please visit www.LynmarEstate.com, or call (707) 829-3374.

Lynmar Estate’s garden and culinary teams

Largely created from seasonal ingredients grown at Lynmar’s bucolic estate gardens, the menu reflects a decade-long collaboration between the estate’s garden and culinary teams. Chef Frakes, who joined Lynmar in 2011, has drawn on his experience from previous roles at La Scene at San Francisco’s Warwick-Regis Hotel, Gary Danko at the Ritz-Carlton, Applewood Inn in Guerneville, and Beringer Vineyards to create an experience which frames the wines and provides guests a visceral connection to the Quail Hill property. Consistently inspired by the ingredients grown on the property, he collaborates with Lynmar’s head gardener, Justino Rosales, at the beginning of the season to plant seasonal crops. Having also been there for over a decade, Justino and the culinary team determine which ingredients should be highlighted on the menu.

“Our goal is to provide guests with the freshest, most seasonal ingredients in order to present our wines in the best possible light while also showcasing the essence of the Quail Hill Vineyard,” says Chef Frakes. “Working with the garden team allows us to have a constant dialogue about what is ready to harvest, and then we can adjust the menu accordingly. By sourcing ingredients primarily from our own gardens and other local sources, we’re able to create a truly unique dining experience that highlights the terroir of the Russian River Valley.”

The estate grown ingredients include bay leaf, blood orange, calendula, carrots, chives, eggs, garlic, kumquat, lemons, lettuces, mint, olives, onions, parsley, rosemary, tarragon, thyme and olive oil which is bottled exclusively for Chef Frakes’ signature culinary experiences at the property.

With an eye toward cultivating a long-term community, Lynn and Anisya Fritz designed the winery’s culinary program out of a desire to create a sense of place for their guests, where they could immerse themselves in the experience, visually & aromatically, through food, wine, and nature.

“We want our guests to feel like they are part of our family, and that they are experiencing authentic Russian River Valley hospitality,” said Anisya Fritz. “We believe the ‘Collectors Lunch Pairing’ is a truly unique way for our guests to connect with our wines and our land.”

The new “Collectors Lunch Pairing” menu features three courses, each of which is paired with one of Lynmar’s Estate’s signature wines.
