21 January – Celebrated all over the world, the Lunar New Year is one of the most important events for the East Asian community. To mark the occasion, Piper-Heidsieck pays tribute to its shared history with the imperial court of China. When in 1785 in France, Florens-Louis Heidsieck founded the house of the same name and presented its champagne to Queen Marie-Antoinette, she was captivated. The tone was then set in aristocratic circles: 14 royal courts were delighted to serve Piper-Heidsieck champagne between the 18th and 19th centuries, including the imperial court of China. Since 2015, Piper-Heidsieck has been granted a Chinese trademark by the trade department to protect the brand:
Surprisingly translated as ‘snow white’, this interpretation refers to the delicate effervescence that forms when serving a glass of Piper-Heidsieck.
LUCKY COLORS
Piper-Heidsieck’s iconic red color has made the brand instantly recognizable all over the world. It also echoes the national color of China. A true icon of Chinese history and a symbol of happiness, good luck and peace, red is also the color of celebration at the
